Operation Forever Home Incorporated
Operation Forever Home is a youth-led nonprofit founded by a passionate animal advocate who believes every animal, from playful puppies to misunderstood reptiles and senior guinea pigs, deserves a safe, healthy, and loving forever home. Our mission goes beyond adoption. We aim to inspire real change through youth leadership, education, and stronger connections between people and animals. We help match pets with the right families using our Match Me quiz, which considers lifestyle, environment, and care experience to support lasting placements. Through youth-led adoption events, hands-on animal care workshops, and educational outreach at shelters and environmental centers, we empower young people to become compassionate leaders and advocates. We also believe in the power of storytelling to spark understanding and empathy, using social media and community platforms to share animal journeys, care tips, and awareness for all species—not just the popular ones. At Operation Forever Home, we are creating a future where every animal is valued and every young person knows they can make a difference, one forever home at a time.
Meet the Founder and President: Kathryn Rogers
Hi, I’m Kathryn Rogers, the Founder and President of Operation Forever Home. I started this organization because I believe every animal, whether it’s a puppy, a reptile, or a senior guinea pig, deserves to feel safe, loved, and truly at home. I’ve always been passionate about animal care and dream of becoming a veterinarian, and I wanted to create a space where young people like me could step up, speak out, and make a real difference for animals in need.
Operation Forever Home grew out of my experiences volunteering with animals, teaching children about the environment, and seeing the power of youth leadership in action. I created the Match Me adoption quiz to help families find the right pet based on lifestyle and care needs, and I’ve led youth-driven events, workshops, and outreach programs that connect people with animals in meaningful ways. My goal is to give a voice to every animal and to show that young advocates can create real, lasting change. Together, we are building a kinder future, one forever home at a time.
